Semis against Wawrinka

Roger won his quarter final at the Swiss Indoors against Andy Roddick today, defeating the American 6-3, 6-2. Our champ will now play Stanislas Wawrinka in tomorrow's semis.

Roger showed a brilliant display against a rather weak Roddick. He did not allow even one single break-point for the overmatched American on day 5 in Basel. Roger made use of his first matchball to wrap up the match after 64 minutes.

Roger's semifinal opponent on Saturday will be his friend and Davis Cup team-mate Stanislas Wawrinka.

finally the match was telecasted in india...and i saw the whole match..awesome king...not even faced a single break point...so happy rog...cant wait to c u kick djoker's ass this sunday...

Congratulations on your win over Roddick today! You played beautifully. It was a real pleasure! While I watched the game I was thinking that no one plays tennis the way you do and that it will be a HUGE loss for the sport the day you retire( which I hope is very far away). Congrats. on the win Roger and thanks for the show. The Fed Machine is well oiled today and in higher gear. You wrapped up the match in an hour. Beautiful Champ, hope you keep up this level tomorrow and move to the final, somehow I know you will.

Alas Poor Roddick!! We heard him teaching Baslers some English expletives at the end today. Well, Stan is playing beautifully so tomorrow's match should offer you some challenge. When we aren't rooting for you, we root for Stan, so we'll be torn -- maybe 2/3 for you and 1/3 for Stan. But we expect you to win tomorrow, understand. Also nice that they matched the court to your shirt.
