Paris: the draw

07.11.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Straight from Basel to Paris: Roger will play this year's last Masters 1000 tournament in Paris this week.

With a bye in the first round, he will compete against the winner of the match between France's Adrian Mannarino (ATP 83) and Russia's Dmitry Tursunov (ATP 39). He could meet another Frenchman in the second round: Richard Gasquet (ATP 18). Later, a meeting with Mardy Fish in the quarter-final would be possible. In the semifinals Roger could then play Andy Murray, the current world number three.

Dearest Roger,

Best of luck in Paris! Enjoy your play and take care.

Also, a belated congratulations for winning Basel! Thank you for this wonderful week. I was so moved to see your beautiful tears. After winning so many matches and titles, you are still so innocent, sensitive and have passion for tennis. How could we not love you!
And thank you, too, for your nice comment for the young Japanese player. You have been his idol, and I don't think he will ever forget your words.
