Paris: the draw

07.11.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Straight from Basel to Paris: Roger will play this year's last Masters 1000 tournament in Paris this week.

With a bye in the first round, he will compete against the winner of the match between France's Adrian Mannarino (ATP 83) and Russia's Dmitry Tursunov (ATP 39). He could meet another Frenchman in the second round: Richard Gasquet (ATP 18). Later, a meeting with Mardy Fish in the quarter-final would be possible. In the semifinals Roger could then play Andy Murray, the current world number three.

Congratulations on your victory in Basel! I saw pictures of you in a really cute beany and sweater...grey...looked super comfortable and warm. Got me thinking It must be SUPER cold in the Alps of Switzerland. Autumn is kind of cold here to me but honestly a high of 63 is pretty good. Skiing in the alps must be pretty fantastic. I've only skied in Tahoe. I've heard it's a lot wetter than Colorado. Anyway...good luck in Paris!!

congrats on the beautiful final in basel. it was refreshing to see a new face in the final against you. every match you played in that venue was great. i think kei will do well in the future. but you had him moving so fast he couldn't catch his breath. wanted to see your kids there but i know you want to keep them private and out of the limelight. we just love you and like to see every part of you; tennis player, husband, son, brother and dad. good luck in paris. cheering for you all the way!
