Roger cruises on in Paris

09.11.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger made a perfect start into the BNP Paribas Masters today as he raced past Adrian Mannarino 6-2, 6-3 in just 55 minutes.

Roger already scored his first break on his second break chance at 2-1, dropping only three points in four service games in the opening set. Another break at 5-2 secured him the set. Just like in the opener, Roger broke again at 2-1 in the second set and had a chance to make everything clear with a break-chance at 5-2. But after a forehand error, he then went on to serve out the match.

Roger will now play Richard Gasquet in round three, against whom he leads the head-to-head 8-2.

Would love you to win this title too, even if it was just to shut the doubters up. What's their problem?? I think its jealousy!

Hello Roger,

Very solid start against Mannarino. And I fully agree with the commentators that there is no better sight in tennis than an in-form Roger Federer.
All the very best against Richard Gasquet this evening.
