Roger cruises on in Paris

09.11.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger made a perfect start into the BNP Paribas Masters today as he raced past Adrian Mannarino 6-2, 6-3 in just 55 minutes.

Roger already scored his first break on his second break chance at 2-1, dropping only three points in four service games in the opening set. Another break at 5-2 secured him the set. Just like in the opener, Roger broke again at 2-1 in the second set and had a chance to make everything clear with a break-chance at 5-2. But after a forehand error, he then went on to serve out the match.

Roger will now play Richard Gasquet in round three, against whom he leads the head-to-head 8-2.

It is very heartening to see Federer having fans all over the world and whats more amazing is that around 30% of them are from India!!!. Fantastic Federer there can be no one who can stop you especially indoors. Here your backhand becomes your perfect asset alongwith your most dependable and penetrative forehand. On some slow surfaces, your backhand tends to be your liability but not here. Cant think that anybody can stop you from winning this trophy and also YEC.
