Two ATP World Tour Awards!

Roger has added the 2011 Fans’ Favourite Award and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award to his collection of ATP World Tour Awards.

Roger extended his reign as the ATPWorldTour.com Fans’ Favourite to a ninth straight year, and won the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for a seventh time in eight years. Since 2003, Roger has now won 22 ATP World Tour Awards!

“One of the reasons why I play this wonderful sport is for my fans so I would like to thank them once again for their continued support,” Roger said. “It really is so amazing and means the world to me. It’s also gratifying to be recognised by my fellow players for exhibiting fair play on and off the court. The award is named after Stefan Edberg, one of my childhood idols, so it is even more special.”

Our champ will receive his awards in special on-court ceremonies throughout the World Tour Finals which start tomorrow.

Congratualtions Roger, you are my hero and my only sporting idol. The way you and Team Federer conducts itself is purely amazing, both on and off the court. Desparately hoping to meet you in Melbourne in January, and believe like Laver and Emerson that you have a great chance of taking out the Oz Open title next year and I will be there at Rod Laver Arena everyday to watch you. Your fans adore you and your competitors are in awe of you. Best of luck in London xx
