Roger soars into semis

Roger showed a master class performance today to defeat Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-0 at the ATP World Tour Finals.

Roger outclassed Nadal thanks to a highly concentrated performance, showing his full repertoire in front of a thrilled crowd. The match started with both players holding serve - until Roger seemed in a world of his own after taking a 4-2 lead with a break. He had almost 90% of his first serves in in the first set! Roger showed no mercy in the second set, breaking Nadal three times and sealing his victory after precisely one hour.

 

Thanks to his victories against Tsonga and Nadal, Roger has secured place 1 or 2 in Group B and thus a spot in the semi-finals. He can play Thursday's match against Mardy Fish without any pressure.

I was away & have just finished watching the recorded match.

It was the most beautiful and classy tennis performance I've seen in years... Nadal was perplexous. I've seen Connors, McEnroe, Borg, Lendl, Edberg, Becker, Agassi, Sampras, just to mention some of the best ones. I've seen Federer in his hights years ago. Even so, he made it. Federer played better than himself. When we see someone playing like that, we're seeing History being made. Gott sei Dank, FEDERER

This is by far the most extraordinary match against Rafa I've seen. What a good tennis lesson for us, such an arts project. Now Roger can play even more beautiful and because without any pressure, he can practice all his weapon shots from his arsenal in the very next match against Mardy

1) Can't wait for Fish to retire EARLY, before Roger embarasses him OFF the court w/ a straight-set beatdown.

2) Can't wait to actually root for RN to fight back & beat TSONGA in 3 hardfought sets 'cuz he can be beaten BADLY by anyone next in Group A, whereas TSONGA's the 2nd hottest player next to our champ.

3) Can't wait to root for BERD-CH-RAP to BEAT Ferrer in 3 hardfought sets in order for (a) send DJOKER home back to Serbia, so (b) Ferrer can be qualified in 1st place.

Gotta root 4 RN 2 stretch TSONGA 2 3 tough sets & send him home since RN can be beaten here whereas Tsonga's only 2nd HOTTEST player 2 our champ!
