Final in London
26.11.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger has reached the finals of the World Tour Finals in London after a 7-5, 6-3 win over David Ferrer today - his 100th final on the ATP Tour!
It was a tight opening, because both players were producing strong service holds. Ferrer even had a glimpse of a chance at 4-5 in the opening set when Roger eventually held serve after five deuces. After one hour, Roger took the chance to win the first set. In the second set, our champ broke the fifth-seeded Ferrer twice, converting his second match point with a forehand winner after one hour and 25 minutes.
This victory also meant that Roger will end the year as world number 3, moving back above Andy Murray. Roger will either face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Tomas Berdych in tomorrow's final.

Erm no freedom of speech; I'm sorry but he has a history of blowing matches when he loses a tight set; Tsonga has more heart
