World Tour Finals Auction

01.12.2011 | Foundation, Starseite 1

The eight singles finalists who qualified to compete at the 2011 ATP World Tour Finalists raised $57'261 through a unique worldwide player locker charity auction organized by the ATP.

The lockers, personally stocked with signed memorabilia by each of the top eight singles players were on display in the Fan Zone at The O2 across the eight days of the tournament.

Save the Children, the charity partner for the tournament, will receive 50% of the proceeds from the auction, with the other 50% going to each player's chosen charity. Roger's locker  received the highest bid with $17'800 and therefore 50% of this money goes to the Roger Federer Foundation.

By the way : would fully understand Roger if he would not play the DC. He has already such a tough program next year. He said yes for Swiss people and Swiss people didn't give him this AWARD. It's just a big shame.
Dear Roger, wish you a Merry Christmas and a VERY HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL 2012.

3) Roger puts SWITZERLAND ON THE MAP, i.e. no one from there has ever won any GS before and since...

4) This year, ATP gave huminicatarian award to that atrocious RN, like they gave it away the stefan edberg award of 2010 to him as well, like ALL AWARDS TO RN ARE MERE TOKENS, IN NAME ONLY, 'CUZ HE DIDN'T EARN A DARN THING...

Unlike Roger, who has to fight for everything, so this WTF AUCTION MEANS JUST AS MUCH AS ROGER WINNING BACK HIS STEFAN EDBERG AWARD THIS YEAR~!!!

1) Roger's WORLDWIDE, so he doesn't need SWITZERLAND...HE IS SWITZERLAND & THEY S/B SO LUCKY~!

2) Roger's foundation got the makeup here from an anonymous donor, but WHY DIDN'T HE GET THE HUMANITARIAN AWARD???

anyhoo, Roger'll be all right...

Just wanted to say that it's increadibly sad that Swiss people didn't elect Roger Federer "Swiss Sportsman of the Year". I don't know what they are expecting from him. For me he is THE SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR and he would have deserved this AWARD more than anyone else. I have voted for him. That's why I am saying that Roger Federer is too good for Switzerland.

They've found the god particle in Switzerland! It's name is Roger Federer

VAL2008, I JOIN YOU AND PROPERLY SAY THANKS TO ROGER, HIS WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE, AND HIS CONCERN FOR HUMANITY. GOD BLESS HIM, HIS FAMILY, AND LET JUST A BIT BE LEFT OVER FOR HIS FANS. NO ONE NEEDS TO TELL US WHAT NUMBER ROGER FEDERER IS: HE SHALL ALWAYS BE THAT, AND HE SHALL ALWAYS BE INCOMPARABLE, EVEN IF THERE WILL BE, AS IN ALL SPORTS, NEW NUMBER ONES. SOME ARE JUST A NUMBER, GREAT, BUT SOME STAND FOREVER, LIKE ROGER'S!

ROGFAN, ARE YOU PERPHAPS ORIGINALLY FROM eUROPE? iT" EASEY ENOUGH TO SET UP A FOUNDATION TO MAKE A PLAYER LIKABLE, OR MORE LIKABLE, OR MORE ADORABLE, NO MATTER WHAT, ISN'T IT? I AM JUST WONDERING ABOUT YOUR COMMENT, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE AWFUL, AND ONGOING TRAGEDY IN JAPAN. SEEMS YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE A DIFFERENT AGENDA THAN HELPING WHERE IT'S NEEDED BADLY.

In retrospect a bit before that if I remember correctly. LOL : D

You were finally "tuned in" to me in 2009! LOL

That's definitely interesting. How could he NOT be voted number one with all of his accomplishments and many more to come.
