World Tour Finals Auction

01.12.2011 | Foundation, Starseite 1

The eight singles finalists who qualified to compete at the 2011 ATP World Tour Finalists raised $57'261 through a unique worldwide player locker charity auction organized by the ATP.

The lockers, personally stocked with signed memorabilia by each of the top eight singles players were on display in the Fan Zone at The O2 across the eight days of the tournament.

Save the Children, the charity partner for the tournament, will receive 50% of the proceeds from the auction, with the other 50% going to each player's chosen charity. Roger's locker  received the highest bid with $17'800 and therefore 50% of this money goes to the Roger Federer Foundation.

in 2009 roger won his 1st french open completing his career grand slam, his 6th wimby, breaking pete's record to become all time leader in majors (15) & got back to atp #1. the swiss voted somebody else for sportsman of the year back then. if all of those achievements didn't impress them, no one expected them to vote him #1 now. love you roger, hope you're enjoying your rest and family. enjoy your nike session tonight.

Well, all is fair, it's Didier Cuche.
He had said before he reckoned you'd be the one.

Congratulations anyway Roger, see you there, with the TROPHY, in one year,
in December 2012 !!!

Nice, watching you via satelite from Dubai in Switzerland during the Swiss Awards for Sportman/lady 2011.

You're among the top 5 at this moment. I guess it will be the last chance for oldie but goodie skier Didier Cuche... I wouldn't mind, even if you're clearly my favourite.

But I'm so sure you will deserve this award in 2012.
