Roger suffers clear defeat

Six of the world's best players are getting ready for the 2012 season at an exhibition in Abu Dhabi this week.

After a first round bye, Roger played Novak Djokovic in the semi-final today. After a tight opening, Djokovic soon began to settle into his stride and pulled away with a break of serve, before winning nine straight games. Unfortunately, Roger found no answer, letting the Serb streak away to a clear 2-6, 1-6 victory.  

The season will officially start next week, as Roger opens the new year by defending his Doha title.

It's ok, technically it's still 2011 and it's not an ATP official tournament, just a warm-up tourney, plus Novak already played one match which he also was struggled and just won in 3 sets. But for Roger, it's a very first match against the "Man of the Year 2011", what can u hope for. Lost is lost, the only thing we r gonnna focus is to look ahead, strong believe in Roger this coming 2012.

This is only a warming up match, your 2012 goal should be to beat Nadal and Djokovich
To achieve this, you have to show the same determination and fighting spirit you had shown in the year end matches, go for it

Dear Roger,

I believe that am ur most loyal fan ever, or the most loyal Egyptian fan at least :D. For me u are not just a sport legend, but also an idol & not only in sports but in everything. Believe me if I tolled u that when u are happy, am happy, u are sad, am sad. A hard loss in a match to me is a great sadness because I think you are able to win all cause you are the master of the game. As for today's loss its obvious that u r still trying ur new racquet. Roger: This was just an exhibition, you still holding your 17 games winning streak, just enjoy 2012 since it is the year you will be invictus. Best of luck, get novak in Australia, then you will have the revenge you deserve.
