Roger faces Tim in final
07.10.2006 | Tennis
Roger blasted past Germany's Benjamin Becker 6-3, 6-4 to reach final in Tokyo. This means that Roger will meet 10th seed Tim Henman on Sunday.
Roger showed a supremely confident display and said that "it was pretty straightforward. The feeling's good. My dream was to be in the final." He has now improved his win-loss record for the year to 76-5.
"The last little bit is a bonus. It's a great opportunity to win maybe my first tournament in Japan." Roger only needed 36 minutes to take home the first set, the second one was even quicker after he broke again in the third game.
Becker, who ushered Andre Agassi into retirement at the US Open last month, simply had no answer to Roger's bewildering arsenal of shots.
