Semis against Tsonga

Roger celebrated a 20th successive win today, reaching the semi-final in Doha for the sixth time. His 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Andreas Seppi earned him a next meeting with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

"I am looking forward to playing him again," Roger said. "I hope it will be a good season for both of us. He's always a nice guy to see play, and a nice guy off the court as well, so I hope we can live up to expectations."

Roger did not show a too constant performance today, especially in the second set. He was trailing 1-5 when he still managed to come back to 5-5 - and still lose the set. But he recovered in the deciding set, breaking Seppi early and holding the advantage until the end.
Roger profited from excellent first serves and passages today - making a total of 41 unforced errors on the other hand.

peRFect performance throughout the tournament, Roger.
Today was a little bit tough but you managed to grab the win in a great performance.
I just heard about your bad back.. It saddens me, really.. Hope it's nothing serious and if it requires you to take some rest to be 100% fit for the AO, don't question it.
I'm sure you know best what your body demands.

Dear Roger, please take care of your health (these rumors about your back are killing us). Good luck with Tsonga! You played great in all your three matches, the Seppi one was just a bit of lack of focus. You can beat anybody, both Tsonga and Nadal. Just believe in yourself. WE BELIEVE IN YOU! God bless!

Hi Rog! If you had to show any inconsistencies or have a lapse of concentration...I am glad you got those out of your system at this stage and came through beautifully.A win is a win is a win! That's all! You have set such a high standard that these kind of lapses make us go 'Oh no!' and feel like the world is ending; but you almost always come thru.
I have full faith in you;a new year = a blank slate...so write another chapter of glory to add to your incredible life!! COME OOOOONN!!
