Roger Federer beats Mikhail Youzhny to win Halle title (BBC Sport)

It is the first time since 2007 that Federer has come back from a set down in the semis and final to triumph at an ATP World Tour event. "I have won a lot in my career but not recently," said world number three Federer, whose last tournament win came in Cincinnati. "I was satisfied with my game in the past 10 months. Maybe people thought I was playing badly but that was not the case. "I was playing well but when it mattered the others were just better. Today it worked well."

Roger Federer comes back against Mikhail Youzhny to win in Halle (The Guardian)

Before beating Mikhail Youzhny for the 15th time in a row to lift his sixth Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Roger Federer said: "Winning tournaments is everything." It was a Bob Paisley-esque evocation to tempt fate and the Swiss delivered. Federer overcame an uncertain start to win 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 in just over two hours and he is in good, although not devastating, shape to defend his title at Wimbledon. Whether or not he can reproduce his German form in London is uncertain because the familiar contenders grouped around the world No3 at the summit of the game are probably playing more consistent high-end tennis.

Federer claims sixth Halle crown (Fox News)

Federer lost to Rafael Nadal in his other final this year last month in Rome. He was a quarterfinal loser to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga last weekend at the French Open, but was able to turn around his season on his favorite surface. Grass has always suited Federer well. Seven of his record 17 Grand Slam titles have come on the famed lawns of Wimbledon, where he will return later this month as defending champion. Federer, who is now 6-2 in title matches in Halle, improved to 121-17 on grass.

Roger Federer ends victory drought (Los Angeles Times)

Roger Federer found the perfect place to end his title drought — a small town in western Germany that has a big tennis stadium and a street named Roger-Federer-Allee leading to it.

Some of you need to get a life. He is only a tennis player, he has done nothing great for humanity. I think to call him a goat is offensive. It is a dirty, smelly animal!

I am furious!!! how is this possible??? Roger Federer is the king of tennis, if it is rigged, it should be rigged for king of tennis!!! Why do ATP try to work for Nadal than for king of tennis Roger Federer? I don't understand this!!!! I think Nadal has a evil power...I noticed his fans that he attracts are very dark too and lying spirits! I think Nadal has evil spirits!

SHIV08SPYDER,
I suspect Nadal may fall into our Champ's or Murray's quarter. Anyway given the fight some players gave him on the high-bouncing clay courts, we need to see how he'll fare at these (comparatively) low-bouncing Grass courts.
Yeah if he does fall into Ferrer's quarter, its doubtful that it may be rigged. But more than here, it definitely gets rigged at USO (in Nadal's favor, see 2010,2011) and at IW. Toni might be having some good friends in those 2 tournaments....
