Semis against Tsonga

Roger celebrated a 20th successive win today, reaching the semi-final in Doha for the sixth time. His 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Andreas Seppi earned him a next meeting with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

"I am looking forward to playing him again," Roger said. "I hope it will be a good season for both of us. He's always a nice guy to see play, and a nice guy off the court as well, so I hope we can live up to expectations."

Roger did not show a too constant performance today, especially in the second set. He was trailing 1-5 when he still managed to come back to 5-5 - and still lose the set. But he recovered in the deciding set, breaking Seppi early and holding the advantage until the end.
Roger profited from excellent first serves and passages today - making a total of 41 unforced errors on the other hand.

All the very best against Tsonga champ. You know how to beat him and have done so on many occasions in the past Roger. Just stay focused and be aggressive. The title will be yours inshallah champ. I am praying and fingers crossed that 2012 will be your year inshallah Roger. Commmmmmmmmmmme ooooooon Rogerrrrrrr.

GO ROGER two matches away from the defending your title ! You can do it. All the best of luck today against Tsonga. Stay focus, don't get a slip in this match. The opponents are always getting tougher near the end of the tournament. Come on Roger, you are doing great !!!

Hello Roger,

Thanks to your poker face we only could wonder why your level dropped in the 2nd set. I was very sorry to hear that your back was giving you some discomfort. I am sure that especially in Doha you would prefer to play on the day in the sun rather than after sunset with these low temperatures and the wind. I hope things will get better and that it won't bother you against Tsonga later today.
