Semis against Tsonga

05.01.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger celebrated a 20th successive win today, reaching the semi-final in Doha for the sixth time. His 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Andreas Seppi earned him a next meeting with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

"I am looking forward to playing him again," Roger said. "I hope it will be a good season for both of us. He's always a nice guy to see play, and a nice guy off the court as well, so I hope we can live up to expectations."

Roger did not show a too constant performance today, especially in the second set. He was trailing 1-5 when he still managed to come back to 5-5 - and still lose the set. But he recovered in the deciding set, breaking Seppi early and holding the advantage until the end.
Roger profited from excellent first serves and passages today - making a total of 41 unforced errors on the other hand.

Good win, Roger. So sad to hear you were in discomfort! I hope your back feels better. Play with your warmup jacket on! It's cold there at night! If you feel you can't play the semi, your fans will understand; we want you to be healthy and happy!

I apologise for thinking your concentration had gone walkabout in today's match against Seppi on seeing the news report in Blick about your back going into spasm in yesterday's match. For heaven's sake, don't jeopardise your Oz Open chances by continuing to play Doha, it's not worth it, things don't heal so quickly at your age! Would far rather you gave yourself a good chance than risk making things worse. Lots of love and hope you can recover quickly. xx

Please Champ take care, we would like to see you winning Doha again but we prefer to see you healthy for the whole season. Australian open is too close.
And what about this spot that you have on the left side of your forehead, I am worried about it.
anyway good luck tomorrow against Tsonga, you can win him again for sure.
Tons of love
