Round three after walkover

18.01.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger got a free pass into the third round of the Australian Open as Germany's Andreas Beck withdrew from the scheduled second-round encounter with a lower back injury.

"I would have loved to play," Roger said. "I feel sorry for the fans who were excited to see me on Hisense today. I was ready to go. I was just coming for my warm-up hit, so I was completely focusing on the match."

It is only the third time in Roger's career that he has advanced a round without having to play.

1-Good and hopefully Beck will be fine soon.

Roger you can't be on the Open Drive Feature because you have a different car sponsor, right? Too bad, I would have liked you to answer those questions. ;)

2-Dearest try this: When you get really nervous say to yourself: "It's not nerves, its excitement!" Feel it like that. It can be easier that way, because excitement propels, when nerves inhibit. Whatever you feel use it. You can transform it all into good energy!

All the best for the next round! Go for it! Take care.

I love you… :) XO

Hello Roger,

So sorry for the fans who came to watch you play and got Dolgopolov instead... I can imagine that you would rather have played to win this match to be better prepared for Dr. Ivo's game. I hope you have a good practice on Thursday and wish you all the best for your next match.

Dear Roger
I'm happy you are in the third round, I agree with you it would be better that you have played this match vs Beck, but who knows why it's good for! I hope you'll stay healthy and fit for the next, next, next, next, and next matches!!! But first Karlovic!!! I remember Wimbledon a few years ago when he played well, but lost to you! As almost usually.
Wish you all the best and good luck dearest Roger!
Go, Roger, goooooooooooooo!
Love, Mimi
