Roger sneaked past Jarkko Nieminen 7-5, 7-6(2) today to reach the semi-finals of the ATP tournament in Rotterdam.

Roger never got into trouble in his 13th match against Niemimen, not leaving him a single break-chance throughout the entire match. He did find the Finn's serve hard to pierce, and triumphed with just one break.

Roger will now play the winner of the match between Nikolay Davydenko and Richard Gasquet for a place in the final.

The difference between a genius and fool rests in how one deals with awful situations. Federer san you are a genius for sure!! What a match !! I am so happy to see you raise the game and keep your focus when it seems so awful out there. Of course that is our Federer san !! Congratulations. Kudos to your opponent. He really played very well also Federer san. It is a great tune up tournament for the bigger ones later on. Yes you can do it. All your fans love and support you.
