Roger cruises into round 2

Roger moved into the second round in Dubai with a 6-0, 7-6(6) victory over Michael Llodra today.

Our champ startet fantastically, winning the first eleven points of the match and closing the opening set after a mere 18 minutes. In the second set, Roger had to battle here and there as both players held their serve and Roger also had to fight off a break-point. In the tiebreaker Roger then made everything clear after 67 minutes of play.

Next up is a clash with Spain's Feliciano Lopez (ATP 15). Our champ leads the head-to-head 9-0.

Well done Rog, fantastic rally in the very last game, reminds me why I love this sport and the way you and Feli play it, tremendous stuff. Felt sorry for Feli but hey, perhaps one day his turn will come! Best of luck for tomorrow against Youzhny. Love as ever to you and your family. xxx
