Roger cruises into round 2

Roger moved into the second round in Dubai with a 6-0, 7-6(6) victory over Michael Llodra today.

Our champ startet fantastically, winning the first eleven points of the match and closing the opening set after a mere 18 minutes. In the second set, Roger had to battle here and there as both players held their serve and Roger also had to fight off a break-point. In the tiebreaker Roger then made everything clear after 67 minutes of play.

Next up is a clash with Spain's Feliciano Lopez (ATP 15). Our champ leads the head-to-head 9-0.

2. Please Roger, don't let your opponent come back after you destroy him in the first set! Find a way to keep a strong and consistent game during the rest of the game to see him actually crack down at the end as he reckons there no way back in the play! It is really really important to ensure growth in game control rather than de-growth during a match!!! It's all about mental clarity and confidence management!!!

1. Congratulation for the victory because it is what matters! Great start... Second s could et have gone both sides! So it's important to focus on how to keep the level of the beginning of the game or possibly increase it! But not decrease level as time goes on! It's how you can loose confidence and or see the opponent gain confidence. You better have a difficult start but a strong finish than the opposite! Rotterdam semi final was perfect for that...
