5th title in Dubai
Roger showed a great display today to defeat Andy Murray 7-5, 6-4 in the final to secure his fifth title in Dubai and his 72nd career title.
"It's beautiful winning this" Roger said. "I've had a great start to the season, and a great finish to last season, so I hope I can keep it up. But there are a lot of guys who are going to play tremendous as well."
It has been a tight opening set and both players were in excellent condition. A break in game no. eleven was just enough to take the opening set after 52 minutes. In the second set, Roger scored an early break to take a 3-1 lead but Murray responded with a re-break shortly after. After another break on Murray's serve at 4-4 Roger was then able to serve out the match, which he did with his second matchball - winning the Dubai trophy for the fifth time.
Next up is the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York on Monday where Roger will play Andy Roddick.

But i would ve prefered Djoko vs Fed but still a very good performance
Hope to see this kind of results in grand slams
Congratulations !!!
I'm so happy to watch your great match with Murray on TV.
Good luck on next match!!
with love Yumi(*^_^*)
However, I am concerned about the errors that you make with your forehand volley.
It needs work! Who agrees with me?
Roger I'm so happy, you played amazing the whole tournament and the final was peRFect, what a great win! You displayed so much intelligence and precision. It was beautiful indeed.
You looked so handsome holding he trophy it looks heavy you are so strong! There's nothing better than to see happy and smiling, the rainbow comes out with you.
It is great that you were calm at the final, of course sometimes it is very difficult to do, but if you think about it, there's no reason why not to be, all the anxiety and the pressure you may feel have no purpose because anyway you can't solve the situation in advance and when you're actually playing you have the capacity to then work it out.
It doesn't matter how strong the other players are coming, actually I think it is part of the fun of the competition, to fight against someone who wants to win too and that presents you with a challenge.
