06.03.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger lost the BNP Paribas Showdown at the Madison Square Garden in New York against Andy Roddick 5-7, 6-7(7).

"We’ve had some great battles over the years in all the great stadiums and this is one of them, so I’m glad we did it,” Roger said after the match. “I wish I could have pushed it to a third set."

Next up are the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

It was just an exhibition, a very funny exhibition.

It doesn't matter. It was just an exhibition, a very funny exhibition. :D The important thing is that you and the other players enjoyed yourself. :)

Glad you enjoyed your brief NY visit, Rog. JODOUG said it all and I completely agree with him. Awaiting your return to the Big Apple for the US Open. Good Luck in Indian Wells and wishing you, your family, and team enjoy CA. I know the kids had fun there last year.

the only comments this exo deserve is i hope you had fun in NY and i hope you andy raised a lot of money for your foundations. we have already seen you lose to andy in an exo and then destroy him a few days later in AO 2007. the slam you won without dropping a set. so exos are for fun, raising money and making the local player look good. you did all 3 things. with your 21-2 record against andy, there was no need to humiliate him here. so great job. Good luck in IW.

Great fun exho but I really don't think that Roger will be losing any sleep over this one. Can't believe the US media are taking it so seriously.... this was no A game but a great night and helps to promote tennis. I think that we can rest assured that Roger isn't holding a crisis summit with Paul and Severin about this one!

Well, it was just an exhibition match, I know you'll play better in officiel matchs. Good luck in your next match. And keep your level high as you showed that last week in Dubai.

Not such a great loss, you've had a busy time of it this last few weeks added to that a bit of jet lag, its more important you be ready for the Indian Wells tournament.
Good luck and Loads of Love

Roger this is not fair to lose to roddick after grabbing the titles from rotterdam and dubai.... this may slow down your confidence... so just leave it and look for the next title in indian wells....remind one thing you are a born champion , i dont want u to lose even an exhibition match or practice match...practise well for the forth events both by mind and physique
