Roger advances in three sets

14.03.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger survived an early storm from Milos Raonic before taking control to seal a 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4 victory in Indian Wells on Tuesday.

"For me it was a difficult match," Roger said. "He`s probably seen me play a whole lot of times on TV which helps him out a bit. But I really did well. I hung in there and played a great second set."

Roger had some trouble with the Canadian`s power serving in the opening set but went on to show great tennis in the following sets and secure victory in just over two hours. He had never played the 21-year-old Raonic before and will now play Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci, who benefited from a walkover by Russian Nikolay Davydenko.

Milos is a native of my country. But he had nothing to look at that match. Roger, you are still the best! :)

To sum up Fed's game, here is an interesting take by a fefan: These two months of watching Federer demonstrated that a super human like Federer can go low on confidence but he is so well equipped to forget his losses and come back on track in the minimum possible time. lesson for the youngsters and others who get so greatly impacted by small failures in life.

Great match Roger! Congratulations!
A strange request: Please don't cut your hair. It looks so nice now.
Later when you are older and not having the hair you have now anymore, you can always cut it short (Look at Mats Wilander and his full head of hair in 1988)
I bet he is not only jealous of your tennis nowadays.:)
