Roger advances in three sets

Roger survived an early storm from Milos Raonic before taking control to seal a 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4 victory in Indian Wells on Tuesday.

"For me it was a difficult match," Roger said. "He`s probably seen me play a whole lot of times on TV which helps him out a bit. But I really did well. I hung in there and played a great second set."

Roger had some trouble with the Canadian`s power serving in the opening set but went on to show great tennis in the following sets and secure victory in just over two hours. He had never played the 21-year-old Raonic before and will now play Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci, who benefited from a walkover by Russian Nikolay Davydenko.

great played roger this energy level should be retained till semifinal clash with nadal when u could win that battle title will be yours because now..only u can win novak..

Congrats Roger ! You are amazing. What impresses me is how you are more confident and patient to wait until an opportunity to done the point, the game.
Now Belucci. I'm brazilian but I 'm going to cheer for you win and show to him how to play tennis e how to be a humble person.
There is no secret to win. Do what you do better than anyone and stay calm and focused.

I was looking forward to a rematch against Davydinko - last one was incredible, but I see he bit the dust with the bug. Looks like you are headed for a possible 4th outing with Delpo followed by Nadal. It is such a hard ask to play both Nadal and Chokey, but I know you can do it. I want to see you wag the finger again vs ripping off the shirt and thumping the chest like Mighty Joe Young. Hear Chokey is now in a movie - omg.
