Roger advances in three sets
14.03.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger survived an early storm from Milos Raonic before taking control to seal a 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4 victory in Indian Wells on Tuesday.
"For me it was a difficult match," Roger said. "He`s probably seen me play a whole lot of times on TV which helps him out a bit. But I really did well. I hung in there and played a great second set."
Roger had some trouble with the Canadian`s power serving in the opening set but went on to show great tennis in the following sets and secure victory in just over two hours. He had never played the 21-year-old Raonic before and will now play Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci, who benefited from a walkover by Russian Nikolay Davydenko.

I still can't believe that you are going to play Bellucci in less than 24 hours from your last match. He is a tough opponent, but all of them are dangerous because they have nothing to lose! You have! Hope you'll stay healthy and fit enough for this match. I pray dear God to help you and keep you healthy. That's only important.
Wish you all the best and good luck dearest Roger!
Go, Roger, gooooooooooo!
Love, Mimi

I Woke up at 3am and saw the whole match and even it was tough at the begining you knew very well how to play Milos. You played a perfect second set and waited for your chance in the third.
Keep it up Master and good luck this evening against Thomaz, I will wake up again at midnight to cheer you as always!!
When you were playing the match, I was having class at school, but thanks to the wifi, I could see the latest score. Feeling so nervous in the first set, but I deeply believed that you will be the winner because the undefeatable spirit you always have.
Do you feel better now? Hope you are OK...Come on! We stand by you 4ever!
