Roger breezes into semis
16.03.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger breezed into the semifinals in Indian Wells today with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro.
Roger had to battle in the opening game as he fought off two break-points, before breaking his opponent right after that and then taking the set without any further problems. He left del Potro with no chance at all in the second set, sealing the victory after 70 minutes.
Roger will play either Rafael Nadal or David Nalbandian in tomorrow's semi-final. Roger has now won 37 of his last 39 matches, his two losses coming to Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open and to John Isner in the Davis Cup.

I hope this victory will help you in the following matches against Nadal, and we look forward to again.
No sleep tonight, but it was worth it.
Best of luck, Roger.

Great match because of a great strategy against Rafa! An excellent victory in straight sets as a result of a perfect executation of your strategy.
Good luck in the final against Isner. Go and get him, Roger!
