73rd career title!
Roger captured a record fourth title in Indian Wells today, beating John Isner 7-6(7) 6-3.
There was not much between the players in the start and it proved a tough battle with no breaks, taking the opening set it into a tie break. Roger spurned two opportunities to take the set in the breaker before finally doing so at the third attempt with a clinical serve and volley.
In the seventh game of the second set, Roger converted the first of two break points to take a deserved lead. And Roger continued in style to break Isner in his next service game to seal the victory and once again make history.
Roger has now won 39 of his last 41 matches, has equalled Rafael Nadal's record of 19 Masters 1000-titles and only lies four victories behing John McEnroe (third in the ranking) with a total of 73 career titles.

Bring on Roland Garros! Congrats again!
In the semi against Nadal, I was so happy to see you repeatedly attack his backhand wing. This was reaping rewards for you at the AO, too, but you abandoned the tactic, seeming to prefer instead to try (unsuccessfully) to beat him the hard(er) way. All is fair, though!

This is the second time I try to send my best wishes and congratulations! You played wonderfully the whole tour! The match vs RN was especially impressive. I watch all your matches, this one is the best after RG last year when you won NDj. I enjoyed your play and hope you can continue like this. You play the most beautiful tennis, you serve well, you have the most beautiful shots! It's the best play! Very nice to watch. I'm proud being your fan! Take a rest now and good luck
Love Mim
