Roger to meet Roddick
24.03.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger secured his participation in week 2 in Miami with a 6-2, 7-6(3) victory over 19-year-old American Ryan Harrison today.
Roger battled at some points, especially towards the end of the second set, when he let a 5-2 lead slip away and was even confronted with a break-point at 5:5. But once again, Roger showed excellent tennis when under pressure and closed out the match after 84 minutes for his 40th victory in the past 42 matches. He has now extended his winning streak against players outside the top 20 to 77 matches.
Roger will now play Andy Roddick - winner of the tournament 2010 - in the third round on Monday. Roger is 21-2 against Andy Roddick, one of the defeats going back to Miami in 2008.

Congratulations again! I was very happy to see your nice play! Hope you'll continue to play well and beat your next opponent as well!It will be a tough match, but this one, vs Harrison, wasn't that easy at all. I don't doubt, you are the best tennis player ever seen and hope you'll prove it again and again! I pray dear God to keep you healthy and fit enough!
Wish you all the best and good luck dearest Roger!
Go, Roger, gooooooooooooo!
Love, Mimi
Dear Rogi, please do not forget that Federer-Roddick did not show!!)
Now get some good rest and good luck for tomorrow with Roddick.
Best regards, Champ!
Congrats. on the win. You prevailed in the 2nd set despite being cheated out of two points once by an embecile in the crowd and once more by the lineswoman. Superb play my hero. You looked more like the teenager light on your feet covering the court & running a marathon to get to balls. Yet u kept your cool like the experienced Great Champion and gentleman. Luv u tons. Good Luck with A.Rod
Grace.
Congratulations for winning the second round. I was able to watch most of the match. A little angry about the guy who cried out "Out!" toward the end of the second set, but glad that you came out all right.
Good luck against Roddick tomorrow.
God bless you!
