A tube station with Roger's|name

02.04.2012 | Off Court, Starseite 3

In celebration of the Olympic Games in London 2012, the names of 361 tube stations will be changed to carry the names of Olympic athletes. Roger will have his own stop near the city centre. "Roger Federer" will be one of the stops on the black line, the so-called Northern Line and will replace the normal stop "Old Street".

Athletes like Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto'o, Usain Bolt, Fabian Cancellara, Carl Lewis, Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali will be honoured with their own tube station stops during the Olympics this summer.

You have points to defend in Monte Carlo, how is your back? You can recover on the clay, plus, you will have the advantage in Madrid. Good luck.

Dear Rog, how are you? Enjoying Easter with your family? Just consider seriously before you take the wild card to Monte Carlo, somebody may be just claiming to be having injection to his knee who would then turn out to be as fierce in clay and humbly announce that he is invincible in clay by taking the 8th consecutve titles. But if you decide to run for the matches, I believe you can beat him, FOR SURE.

Hey Roger: they should name a City for you. You are the ultimate tennis player. We watch your matches all the time, even reruns of the old ones.
Keep smiling.

ishing to speak to Roger Federer and /or take his photo.
Honestly I do not see the 'poor bugger' being given more peace to have his meal during the London Olympics.

Kindest regards

Hello Roger
Great news for one of the 361 tube stations to bear the name 'Roger Federer' during the London Olympics. Some of my favourite athletes have also been chosen.
Also you will be representing your country in tennis singles for the 4th consecutive Olympics.
I remember during the Bejing Olympics one of the Aussies competing there made this comment " poor bugger [referring to you]could not even eat a meal in peace" [or similar words] such was the desire of athletes
