A tube station with Roger's|name

02.04.2012 | Off Court, Starseite 3

In celebration of the Olympic Games in London 2012, the names of 361 tube stations will be changed to carry the names of Olympic athletes. Roger will have his own stop near the city centre. "Roger Federer" will be one of the stops on the black line, the so-called Northern Line and will replace the normal stop "Old Street".

Athletes like Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto'o, Usain Bolt, Fabian Cancellara, Carl Lewis, Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali will be honoured with their own tube station stops during the Olympics this summer.

Hi, Rog. Happy Easter to you and your wonderful family. I am like PIPPIE, missing you between tournaments, esp after Indian Wells when I was in CA during the tournament, and you won it! That was so exciting Anyway, I live in NY, so I'll see you again here at the USOpen as I do every year. Good luck in your preparations for the clay. This is a big year esp. with the Olympics. Good luck in all of your upcoming tournaments.

Happy Easter Roger: I beleive this easter finds you training like crazy, I still have high hopes that you surprise us all and go for a wild card berth at Montecarlo. There are points to defend in Madrid and Rome but in Montecarlo we can only look up. another option is barcelona, nice tournament, or estoril, where you had succes in the past. Just some games to get into rhytm since this surface really suits your current tennis style. Please go for it, more weeks witouth tennis are difficult.

I watched the Davis cup between France and USA, John Isner is playing very well in Clay, there are others too, you need points ,more over, you need more match practice in clay to win French open,it doesn't matter whether you win or loose in Montecarlo, go for it

The last time you took the wild card to Monte Carlo, you went on to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon!! Rafa is hurting no doubt...but we do not know really how bad his knees are. He will never give up...we all know that.
But since you got an unexpected time-off since Miami, you do need match practice especially on clay...I say go for it...but its your decision to make and as always, we are with you a 1000%. Love to watch you dance on the court again though....I am missing your tennis like crazy.

Well that is SO COOL. I just miss you. Can't wait to see you play again. I always feel let down after a tournament. It's SO much fun and then it's gone. It's really weird. After the majors, I'm actually depressed! I love tennis that much and mainly watching you play! I get SO psyched for your matches. I probably need help. LOLOLOL Kidding. All the best during your break. See you on clay lovie! Love to you and your family. Roxanne
