Roger battles through
09.05.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger came from a set down to beat Milos Raonic 4-6 7-5 7-6 (7-4) in the second round of the Madrid Masters today.
Roger had a rough day today, especially due to the young Canadian's serve - he fired 21 aces in a match that lasted just over two hours. Raonic reached a 100%-quote on points won upon first serve that landed in the field. Roger only saw his first break point towards the end of the second set. Fortunately, he improved on his own serve gradually throughout the match and was eventually able to wrap everything up in the tie-breaker.
Roger will now meet Richard Gasquet (ATP 18) in the third round in Spain's capital. Our champ won nine out of the eleven matches the two have played - losing 2 out of 3 on clay, though.

Blessings always
lots of love.

Congrats. I couldn't watch the match. I know this would be very very tough one since you just came back from the break and because it was Raonic. I don't want to have heart attack watching your match but I'm so happy to know now that you have came through. Thank you for giving us seeing your play another match in this tournament. We have missed seeing you playing alot. Good luck and take care.
