Roger cruises into quarters

Roger got by Richard Gasquet 6-3, 6-2 to book a spot in the quarters in Madrid. Our champ broke the serve of Gasquet three times, while the Frenchman struggled to find his rhythm. Roger scored 10 aces and was able to wrap up the victory in just 58 minutes.

Next up will be David Ferrer on Friday.

Great going Champ! One of your numerous 1-hr clinics (You even gave Nadal 1-hr clinics twice at WTF (2007, 2011)). Great to see your mental strength back that has been missing the past few years. The law of tennis is if Fed gains mental strength, his main rivals lose it. I'm pretty sure you're gonna lift the title on Sunday. Can't wait to see that. Rest well and stay focused.
