Roger breezes into semis

Roger cruised into the semifinals in Madrid today with a 6-4, 6-4 win over David Ferrer.

Both Ferrer and Roger proved they are in good shape, but Roger was in control of the match most of the time. He secured a break in each set to eventually seal the victory after 80 minutes.

Roger will play tomorrow's semi-final against Janko Tipsarevic who defeated Novak Djokovic today. Our champ leads the head-to-head 4-0.

u r on a roll roger!!!!u gotta win dis one.u have improvisda lot n i wake up all nyt long to c u r match here in india.it is always 12 am or 1 am when u r match begins in india.but still i watch,cheer and pray 4r u.good for match against tipsarevic.good luck.keep playin dis way.stay healthy.all the best.

Am sad i can't watch your semis match also because its too late here in India.
Hopefully the finals will be early.

Did you guys know... that if federer wins the Madrid open he will be the new No. 2 and so he would be in the opposite half of the draw... imagine.. if novak and nadal are in same side.. it might well be federer vs novak in the final... this could mean federer would be able to win the french open..
