Roger breezes into semis

11.05.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger cruised into the semifinals in Madrid today with a 6-4, 6-4 win over David Ferrer.

Both Ferrer and Roger proved they are in good shape, but Roger was in control of the match most of the time. He secured a break in each set to eventually seal the victory after 80 minutes.

Roger will play tomorrow's semi-final against Janko Tipsarevic who defeated Novak Djokovic today. Our champ leads the head-to-head 4-0.

continued; Good on Tipsy for playing well and not getting childishly upset and grumpy.
Best of luck for tomorrow's match, Roger. And (hopefully) on Sunday too. All three have been playing well, but esp. Berdych and Delpo. But you beat them both in the recent past, remember.
Now they're all admitting you are the Greatest.

Clinical. You did what had to be done with the maximum brilliance and economy. Unlike those two spoiled brats and sulkers, Djokovic and Nadal, you 'manned up' and your all court play was exposed as much superior to theirs. As reported by Mark Petchy you are used to playing on different surfaces. It is only the current generation of monotonous clay court players who expect all courts to be slow so that they can play their dreary metronome game.
Good luck against Tipsy - and good on him
