Rome: the draw

14.05.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Just after Roger's title in Madrid, next stop on the ATP World Tour is the Italian capital for the 77th edition of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. There 23 out of the 25 best players in the world have confirmed their participation there.

Roger, the no. 3 seed, is in the same half of the draw as the defending champion Novak Djokovic.

After a first round bye, our champ will start either against Argentina's Carlos Berlocq (ATP 38) or a qualifier. In the fourth round he could then face France's Gael Monfils (ATP 14). In the quarter-finals, Janko Tipsarevic or John Isner, seeded as no. 8 and no. 9, are possible opponents.

great tournament in madrid. you and serena both wearing blue, winning on blue clay and both 30 yr olds. a great testament that true champions can win in any circumstance. now if nadal wins rome he will get his #2 back i think. but it doesn't matter. now you know you can get there and can get to #1 also. nadal and dj have so many points to defend from now on. anyway good luck in rome and glad to hear you decided you to play. kisses to your 3 lovely angels. great seeing them in madrid.
