Roger breezes into semis

Roger powered past Andreas Seppi today, winning the quarter-final in Rome 6-1, 6-2.

Roger ended the crowd favourite's dream run to the quarter finals with a superb display. It took him just 19 minutes to take the opening set. Seppi started the second set stronger but Roger continued to dominate play and had no problems wrapping up the match thanks to a total of 25 winners and 4 breaks. He won 81% of the points on his first serve, proving he is in great shape.

Roger set up a semi-final encounter with Novak Djokovic. It is the first time that the two meet since their epic encounter last year at the US Open.

he can beat him....but obviously hes tired....the same was seen in miami and its being repeated here...........whts more disappointing is djokovic isnt playing well himself which means its gng to be an easy win for nadal and roger is gng to lose wn2

You have been busy while I have been away! A win at Madrid and now for the semis at Rome. Great stuff Roger, congratulations for everything so far. Now to slaughter Djokovic and show him, you are the real No.1 ! Then again, against Nadal. We know you are the best. Go for it Roger, good luck, think positive and believe in yourself as much as we believe in you. Allezzzz Rogiiiiiiiii !!
