Stopped by Djokovic

Roger's quest for back-to-back claycourt titles was ended by a 2-6, 6-7(4) defeat in the semi-final in Rome against Novak Djokovic.

Roger was broken twice in the opening set in their first encounter since the US Open last year. Roger was constantly under pressure and could not keep up with Djokovic's pace in the rallies. After falling a break back in the second set as well, Roger started to play more aggressively, varying his game and broke back after saving a match point. But in the following tie-break, Djokovic made the crucial points to win the match and book a spot in the final against Rafael Nadal.

I think it looks a very tricky draw while the other three have relative cakewalks! Kamke vows to become German No 1 and Nalbandian is always very, very dangerous! Very best of luck Roger - give them all your best shots.

Overall its a good draw for federer.. its looks a bit tricky because of the opponents in his qtr.. but dnt forget... they all cut eachother out before meeting federer in the first place... So i think federer and annacone should be happy with the draw... and of course the worst part about the draw.. is that federer is in Novak's half and not nadal's.. would have hoped for federer to be in nadal's half

Best part of the draw..

Federer doesn't have to worry about tsonga, del potro, ferrer, raonic, and if luck favours berdych.
There is Berdych vs del potro..4th round..
