Roger breaks Connors' record

Roger beat Romania's Adrian Ungur 6-3, 6-2, 6-7(6), 6-3, today to book his spot in the third round at Roland Garros and also pass Jimmy Connors' record of 233 wins at majors!

"I expect myself to win and I usually manage to do it. It's not like that at the start of your career when you think you are good enough but you are not that good yet," Roger said after the match.

Roger was clearly in command in the first two sets, making a speedy way to victory today. But as the third set went into the tie-break Ungur first saved two match points to then come alive and take the match into a fourth set. But Roger soon managed his first break and left the Romanian no more room to catch up, wrapping everything up nicely after 2 hours 27 minutes.


Roger will face either Slovakia's Martin Klizan (ATP 70) or Nicolas Mahut (ATP 89) of France for a place in the last 16.

Roger, it's very dangereus to you expect yourself to win!!! Every opponent want to beat you, so don't let them any chance...Put at work your entire arsenal in every match and don't loose so many games per set!

Dear Roger, I really want you to win the French this year! And I am pretty sure the opponent will be rafa in the final. I have a suggestion: Why shouldn't you start planning some special tactics against Rafa? Almost always you get to a leading start...just when he starts to come into the match you can use these strategies. *That should be completely unexpected*. Ali came up with Rope-a-dope technique to beat Foreman. Ashe tactically outplayed Connors. You have got the genius to outplay Nadal.

Bravo, dear Roger! Everything you touch is gold! It's like the parable in the Bible, about 3 men getting some talents. (money) One hides it in the ground, the other spends it, and the 3rd one makes it fruitful and makes more of it. Indeed you are that one, who understands the gifts, talent given to you,and also your love and drive for playing your best, and for tennis itself.!!!!

help! please...
my wish comes true. i'm going to paris but i can't find ticket. please help. where can i find ticket for the event. my aim to go is Roger Federer watching him live but can't find ticket. there're only packs but it cost me too much please advise me where can i find more cheaper ticket and just for one match.Only Roger's match.
