Out against Djokovic

Roger suffered a 4-6, 5-7, 3-6 loss against Novak Djokovic in the semi-final of the French Open today.

"I was actually feeling particularly well in the second set, and that one hurts the most to lose," Roger said. "In the third, I don't know, I just wasn't able to put a good game together anymore. You're down two sets to nothing against Novak and it's not the same match anymore. He goes for broke and has no fear and that's about it."

Roger had a good start by breaking Djokovic early in the first set but receiving the re-break in return. Djokovic secured the first set with yet another break. In the second, Roger broke Djokovic again for a 3-0 lead but the world no. 1 took 13 of the next 18 games, constantly putting Roger under pressure. In the third set, Djokovic piled up four breaks to eventually seal his victory after 2:05 hours.

Thank you - Good stuff! As long as we support Roger, we're going in the right direction - and you all are doing a great job.

Roger mentioned the Grass Court Slam - Halle, Wimbledon and Olympics! - won't that just be so special ?!!!

Let's make a wish - a gentle wish for Roger to achieve that unique combo. (I think there must have been a twinkle in his eye when he mentioned that idea) Ha! Ha! Ha!

☆This is not a war, only a sport that our maestro leads very well, I like to see Roger play, regardless of who the opponents are always a joy to watch him play and win, but when it does not happen is not the end of world because no one wins all the time, but Roger wins most of the time regardless of adverse conditions and surface, to be honest is pretty boring all this pressure, the tennis championships it is nice to play and have fun I think our champion should think so. ☆

it doesn't matter you win or lose you are the legend.....who can play a classyyyyyy tennis like you.......?plz concentrate in grass nd prove once again u r the real champion....go roger go.......v r excited to see u in wimbeldon.....relax nd bounce back ...show them who u r....?

*Nochweiterroger* Yes, I get exactly what you mean. And I totally agree about Djokovic. Obviously no one can deny his talent but I maintain his tennis is somewhat robotic. There's a bit more excitement to watching Nadal - no one can deny his charisma - but Djoko just doesn't have it. And I don't want to watch two guys seeing who can thump the ball the hardest as I've said before. Not tennis. Of course they play to win but should be to enthrall too - that's what our champ does; no one will match.

Maybe no-one reading this thread any more, but anyway, you may be right - or not - I simply don't know. But I still think Djok didn't deserve a non calender slam. His tennis is just not up there with Roger - Sampras - McEnroe - Becker
In a way the whole GOAT thing is stupid if it just depends on numbers. Like saying Shakespeare is automaticlly a better poet than Keats because he wrote more words. Roger just plays the best tennis ever. End of story
