Out against Djokovic

08.06.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger suffered a 4-6, 5-7, 3-6 loss against Novak Djokovic in the semi-final of the French Open today.

"I was actually feeling particularly well in the second set, and that one hurts the most to lose," Roger said. "In the third, I don't know, I just wasn't able to put a good game together anymore. You're down two sets to nothing against Novak and it's not the same match anymore. He goes for broke and has no fear and that's about it."

Roger had a good start by breaking Djokovic early in the first set but receiving the re-break in return. Djokovic secured the first set with yet another break. In the second, Roger broke Djokovic again for a 3-0 lead but the world no. 1 took 13 of the next 18 games, constantly putting Roger under pressure. In the third set, Djokovic piled up four breaks to eventually seal his victory after 2:05 hours.

*Hughsie* Always like your posts, you get to the heart of the matter. From first time I saw him (beating Sampras at Wimbledon) I knew he was magic. And he is pure magic. I have already posted re people's fixatiion with UEs. No one can win everything, it would not be human. Federer has won so much over his career & in the last six months and I'm sure there's more to come. He will always be the King of tennis. He gives his all and I will always be an adoring fan, love always, xxxxxx

All of you who are supporting Djoko to lose are MAD !
If Djoko wins and Rafa loses, Roger becomes No.2!
Do you KNOW how important it is Roger to be ranked No.2 ?
Don't you KNOW that No.1 and No.2 have easier roads to the final?
Look at who No. 2 Nadal faced in his Semi? Bloody whipping boy Ferrer while Roger had to face No.1 Djoko !!
Read my lips - if Djoko wins, Roger gets No.2 and an easier road to the Wimbledon Final.
So you all had better decide who should lose! Not Djoko!

Hi Roger. I watched this game ... I guess once your first serve percentage is down, it is going to be tough irrespective against any top 10 players. You were unfortunately not in top form for the whole of this tournament but we seen in earlier clay court tournaments you can beat anyone !!! It is bullshit when people say that your one handed backhand is weak. I have seen it do great damage !! Good Luck in the grass season.. You will win Wimbledon !!

Dear Friends,
Let me put it this way,I watched poor Roger struggle and it was painful.
Today I was watching the FO Final on CTV2 and heard the commentators say - now I must stress that I may have heard it wrong - that if Djoko wins the FO, Nadal will drop to No. 3 !!

YES! YES! I'll take that - I want Djoko to win today when they resume the match. Then I want Roger to be No.2 seeded for Wimbledon, face Djoko in the Final, then
take back his rightful Wimbledon Crown.

Yes Roger

The final without Dear Roger is nothing.
I didn't even know who's in the final.

The beginning of the second set is so good.
I don't know how it twisted into the other way.

But as you know, Dear Roger.
You are always my champion.

always,

I'll always believe in you.

RF now hasn't reach the Finals four grand slams in a row. He should pratice more and limit interviews on the day before his match. I noticed he does a lot of interviews from sportscasters/reporters from different countries especially American sportscasters/reporters. I know he's nice to accept interviews but just limit and practice more tennis. I really wish RF wins Wimbledon and the Olympic Gold! GOOD LUCK RF!

What's wrong with Djoko winning 4 in a row? Our Champ tried it twice but couldn't handle the relentless topspin of Nadal to his backhand. Also he should have won the 2009 USO and again be in that position. But he couldn't. Now Djoko is bravely fighting to achieve it. IMO, he deserves it. I didn't like Djoko last year when he was arrogant and showed no respect towards our Champ. But since our Champ stopped him at RG last year, he seems to have changed his attitude. I go with Djokovic tomorrow!

Dyokovic and Nadal won't last long. It's not I'm a sour grapes. With the physical way to play tennis, it's like dog fighting and with all the sounds they cired out during the crucial point. Last year, Dyokovic was not playing after the US open and he said that the rest of his year 2011 was very hard for him. He suffered a lot.
