Gerry Weber Open 2012

11.06.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

After the end of the clay season it is finally time for the green surface! Especially with the Olympics coming up - on the holy lawn in Wimbledon - this year's grass season is certainly a highlight in Roger's career. He will compete in the Gerry Weber Open in Halle this week.

After a first round bye, Roger either plays Germany's Florian Meyer (ATP 35) or America's Tim Smyczek (ATP 206). In the quarter-finals, our champ could then meet Canada's Milos Raonic (ATP 22). A possible semi-final against Alexander Dolgopolow (ATP 19) could then be the last step before a final clash with Rafael Nadal.

Hi, Rog. Great to see you back on the grass. Good luck in Halle. As for the FO, I heard John McEnroe (and the others) comment that if Nadal lost, he would lose points and go down to No. 3 and Roger would be No.2. So I was hoping for Djoko to win even when I did not like either him or Nadal. Well, time to put that behind and look forward to things to come; much brighter things in the horizon.

I was wondering about 1-4 seeds draw in wimbledon.
I compared roger's performance in semi with nole and rafa, he was not playing any worse. He only did not manage to serve well like he did agains del po in 3rd set and on. I think rogers biggest challenge is to keep focused otherwise he is the best.

Our hero needs to concentrate more and need not to be worried about missed opportunities during the match and has to dig in deep and may be needed to do serve and volley

I guess the draw is always by chance it could be both ways.. 1-3 and 2-4 .. the best way to secure ranking 2 and will never meet with Nole till finals.. and I believe this will happen very soon..
