Gerry Weber Open 2012

After the end of the clay season it is finally time for the green surface! Especially with the Olympics coming up - on the holy lawn in Wimbledon - this year's grass season is certainly a highlight in Roger's career. He will compete in the Gerry Weber Open in Halle this week.

After a first round bye, Roger either plays Germany's Florian Meyer (ATP 35) or America's Tim Smyczek (ATP 206). In the quarter-finals, our champ could then meet Canada's Milos Raonic (ATP 22). A possible semi-final against Alexander Dolgopolow (ATP 19) could then be the last step before a final clash with Rafael Nadal.

*williamalphonso* I don't know why you come on this site if you honestly think Federer should be taking any tips from Djokovic! And from you?! I guess your heart's in the right place and you, like the rest of us, just want to see him pick up the Wimbledon trophy. He's got the passion, he's got the desire, and he's undoubtedly and blissfully got the talent. He can do it (with six of them how could anyone doubt it). Good luck for the grass season Roger, im sure you'll do well, and I think U just had a bad match against Novak in FO, U made too many unforced errors on that match, so just put that behind u, that would be best :-)

I keep forgetting, but listen: Start being a bit aggressive. Your shots are returnable as you rarely hit them in the corners and please hit them hard! Good Luck !

Give your shots a direction, don't just return them to the middle, notice what Djokovic does!!! That's a better way to play & win and not just depend on your good server. Good Luck in this tournament. Djokovic and Nadal are the ultimate test for you. No one else!!!

Although you may not be able to win another major, but winning 16 Grand Slam titles is very hard to be repeated or surpassed by the talented newcomers for the next 100 or so years.

Here's to your wonderful grass season in 2012! This is your home and this is where you shine most. Please show us your beautiful game once again. I don't want to see any more of the match between brute forces.
It is so nice of the tournament organizers and the city of Halle to rename the street after you! One day I would like to stay at the Hotel on your street and watch you play day after day.
