Gerry Weber Open 2012

11.06.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

After the end of the clay season it is finally time for the green surface! Especially with the Olympics coming up - on the holy lawn in Wimbledon - this year's grass season is certainly a highlight in Roger's career. He will compete in the Gerry Weber Open in Halle this week.

After a first round bye, Roger either plays Germany's Florian Meyer (ATP 35) or America's Tim Smyczek (ATP 206). In the quarter-finals, our champ could then meet Canada's Milos Raonic (ATP 22). A possible semi-final against Alexander Dolgopolow (ATP 19) could then be the last step before a final clash with Rafael Nadal.

It's funny that some critics like Rusedski feel that Roger is no more a threat to Djoko & Nadal in Grand Slams. He expects a rematch of RG final at Wimbledon. He is just basing his argument on clay season? May be he forgot last year's SF at RG or the one at USO. However Nadal gives all he's got during the clay season. But our Champ doesn't, he gives importance to Grass and Hard. To the players that fall in Nadal's draw at Wimbledon, BEWARE! His famous FAKE TIME-OUTs are on the way at Wimbledon.

Good to see you on grass, and with flower to boot! Also,I would like to live on the Roger Fedeer Allee! Have a good and inspiring time here. In tennis, there are no "superstars" just Greats who are Above and Beyond. Most of all, tennis is mostly boring without you. I am so glad that you took our talent and love of the game and really really made yourself great, while dragging the rest of the team behind you. Some have caught up some, but only for a time. You can fly consistently once you start!

Hey Roger, time to an epic undefeated run of 57 games and 8 titles please win all from now until the end of the year, you had been great returning, just a little more kick and precision on your serve and the tennis world will be completely owned by you again. always cheering no matter what.
