Roger won his quarter final against Milos Roanic 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3) today to book his spot in the semi-finals in Halle.

"It was a great match on a high level and I am glad that it worked out so well" said Roger.

Roanic's strong serves - 220 km/h - were a tough weapon for Roger to battle against. But Roger did so very well, not facing a single break-ball during the entire match. The Canadian simply had that extra bit of luck in the tie-break of the first set. In the second, Roger stayed focused to secure the only break of the match. In the final set, our champ then made sure to score enough mini-breaks in the tie-break to convert his second match-ball for a spot in the semis.

Next up is Mikhail Youzhny (ATP 31). Roger leads the head-to-head 12-0.

Fantastic match! No matter how many aces Milos fires at you, you always seem to stay on top of it by taking advantage of your returns on his second serve. And it was great that you didn't lose serve or even had a break point. Keep up the good play and go all the way at Wimbledon.

Tha was an EXPLOIT since it must be very difficult to win a match when you have to run every 15 seconds into bomb shelter!

I guess the tournament storm is over, enjoy the calm of the end!!!
