Roger in semis

Roger won his quarter final against Milos Roanic 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3) today to book his spot in the semi-finals in Halle.

"It was a great match on a high level and I am glad that it worked out so well" said Roger.

Roanic's strong serves - 220 km/h - were a tough weapon for Roger to battle against. But Roger did so very well, not facing a single break-ball during the entire match. The Canadian simply had that extra bit of luck in the tie-break of the first set. In the second, Roger stayed focused to secure the only break of the match. In the final set, our champ then made sure to score enough mini-breaks in the tie-break to convert his second match-ball for a spot in the semis.

Next up is Mikhail Youzhny (ATP 31). Roger leads the head-to-head 12-0.

YEEEEES!!! it was really good now you must rest a bit to be prepared against Youznhy. Good luck for the next match and congrats for being the number 1 grass player acording to ATP!!

It was close, but you won.

Nicely done, that serve of his is scary, you did well not to let it get to you! Always fancied you once it went to the third! Good luck in the rest of the tournament!
