Final in Halle

16.06.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger cruised past Russia's Mikhail Youzhni 6-1, 6-4 today to book a spot in the final in Halle.

Roger was never really in danger, dominating play in the first set. He continued in just the same manner in the second, fighting off three break points, though, to make everything clear after exactly 60 minutes on his fourth match ball.

Roger will play his 105th final tomorrow. He will either meet Philipp Kohlschreiber, who defeated Rafael Nadal in the quarters, or Tommy Haas, who won against Tomas Berdych.

Rogfedfan1991, you can say whatever you want. Just change your name please because obviously you cannot appreciate certain things about Roger's playing. You shouldn't call yourself a fan of Roger

Do you read my comments idiot ? I didnt say nothing bad about Roger. I sad that he played bad and that his happiness is important. I have my opinion that he wont win a grand slam. Why I must say thet he will win if I mean that he wont. I didnt curse on Roger or something else and I dont insult people here, and that is what you do.

I was running out of space: "either number one or number 2". And I too thought that he was happy for Tommy who could have achieved SO MUCH MORE hadn't it been for his injuries throughout his career...

Roger's gonna concentrate om Wimbledon and ESPECIALLY on the Olympics because this will most likely be his last chance to play there. (He might still play in 2016 but he won't be good enough anymore). So as I said I'm not worried. And people here are just spoiled by his achievements. Don't you realize that he can't go on and win all the matches? And get this: He's been in the top 3 for over 8 years now. Consistently. And most of the time either number 1. I don't think anyone has ever done that.

No matter what. We, your true fans, still love you Roger. It was not your best today, but you made it to the finals. Lets hope for the best in wimbledon, you can do it Roger. We all know you can..

This was one of the VERY rare occasions when I didn't mind who won, love Tommy and he's had such a lousy time in his career that I actually think it's quite fitting that he won today - he played better, end of. Roger didn't look too cut up about it and must be soooo hard to play a friend. Onward and upward Roger, best wishes for a great Wimbledon 2012. Hope you recover quickly from any ill-effects of this tourney. Love you loads. xxxxx

TUNA4444 it's obvious that he got disappointed after a point while he was playing today. It's people like you who make him feel he 's nothing if he loses. It's people like you who destroy Roger's confidence. So you will do us a big favor if you get lost and you won't appear again on this site. Roger is a legend and he doesn't need your stupid comments and preaching from you.

It is important that you are happy. If you are happy than it is ok. But I must say, and I am realistic, not pesimist, I think that Roger cant win a grand slam anymore.
