Roger loses Halle final

Roger lost today's final in Halle against Tommy Haas 6-7(5), 4-6.

"I'm very impressed with how he played today," Roger said. "Tommy deserved to win."

Roger started perfectly well, securing an early break and even heading for a double-break. But then suddenly things changed and our champ had to fight off first set-points at 4-5. In the tie-breaker, Roger fell behind again and Haas eventually took it with a two-point lead after 50 minutes of play.
In the second set Roger's serve was broken at 4-4, giving Haas the possibility to serve out the match - which he then did.

Roger only previous final loss in Halle was in 2010, when he lost to Lleyton Hewitt.

THAT'S A FACT SO I GOTTA SPEAK UP FOR *vibhuism* BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE HAS DEFENDED *vibhuism*.

john werthiem made his comments on a tennis channel interview with bill macatee. he said "everybody is thinking novak he's #1. i will zig where everybody else will zag. i think roger will win. it's his best chance. he's playing pretty well lately. i reminds me of pete sampras and his last USO win." that may not be exact word for word, but zig, zag, and sampras stood out. the only reason i remember is because it surprised me when he said it. let's hope from john's lips to God's ears.

PS. Course weather could play part, even with that roof. I remember when Murray played Wawrinka under the roof he said how it definately changed the way the ball/court played - made things slower I seem to remember - we don't want that; the courts have been slowed down enough. Hope we fans are not putting too much pressure on our champ with our expectations(even if press feel he's out), I want him to feel relaxed and enjoy himself. Love and luck to him always, xxxx

*nochweiterroger* I found it on sportsillustrated.cnn.com/tennis under 'Tennis news, results,stats' following the 'Can Rafael Nadal claim a third channel slam?' which was how he saw the chances of different tennis stars(male/female) at Wimbledon. There may be another but I couldn't find it. I agreed with him on Djoko - he's lost confidence; not as strong as last year. Whatever happens I hope weather improves, crap at the moment (cold and wet - typical Brit weather!).
