Roger loses Halle final
17.06.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 3
Roger lost today's final in Halle against Tommy Haas 6-7(5), 4-6.
"I'm very impressed with how he played today," Roger said. "Tommy deserved to win."
Roger started perfectly well, securing an early break and even heading for a double-break. But then suddenly things changed and our champ had to fight off first set-points at 4-5. In the tie-breaker, Roger fell behind again and Haas eventually took it with a two-point lead after 50 minutes of play.
In the second set Roger's serve was broken at 4-4, giving Haas the possibility to serve out the match - which he then did.
Roger only previous final loss in Halle was in 2010, when he lost to Lleyton Hewitt.

Exactly what I was thinking: it is about time that Raonic is placed in someone elses quarter at Wimbledon. I would like to see how Nadal or Djokovic will be dealing with that incredible serve. I also wonder how long that powerserve will hold. Right now Raonic is depending mostly on this strong serve, which - as he said himself - helped him to stay alive in that QF. The better tennis in that match came from Roger.
Your fans will understand and we all love u. Among the top players you our maestro were the only one remaining in the later phase of this tune up events before Wimbledon. That in itself is already amazing.
Please stay healthy. I have total confident that u will be healthy soon
With all Tommy's injuries and bad luck you just have to love the guy. He has
class just like Roger.
Good luck, Roger, at Wimbledon. Hope you don't get Tommy or Milos in your draw
and Rafa doesn't get another easy draw!!!
