Wimbledon: the draw

22.06.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

The draw for Wimbledon ist out: Roger will meet Novak Djokovic in the semis this year, should both players make it that far.

Roger will start his quest for a seventh Wimbledon title (Pete Sampras' current record) against Albert Ramos (ATP 43). It is the first time for the Spaniard to play in the main draw of Wimbledon. Roger could then meet Fabio Fognini (ATP 64) or Michael Llodra (ATP 52) before a match against Julien Benneteau (ATP 31) is possible.

@Hughsie, a few pages back:

Nice to read such a nice comment by Chris Evert. On TV I watch other matches as well, but tickets I only buy to watch Roger. I went to Halle a week ago and I have bought my ticket for Rotterdam as soon as they announced that Roger had signed to be there next February!
Please, keep posting!

Hello Roger,

Interesting draw this year :-)! I saw and heard you in that little interview about coming to Rotterdam next year and you were looking very well and very much at ease. I am happy to hear that you are feeling fine and don't have any niggling injuries. With a little bit more sunshine and higher temperatures everything will be peRFect for a wonderful two weeks of tennis.
I wish you all the very best for your first match.

You must be hungry enough for this win you are still the man go for it but remember you have to be on top form.

its all set up really nicely for you..great chance for you to win Wimbledon and get to no 1 at the same time, probably beating Djokovic and Nadal on the way to prove to everyone you're still the man. What a fantastic opportunity, you've gotta be hungry for this success :) its time the rivaly with Rafaole turned a corner at the courts where you first showed the world your supreme talent. I'm getting excited thinking how big this can be. Pounce on this chance champ GOOD LUCK !!

Hi Roger, its time to go on a truly golden run from now to the US Open. I feel that you're ready to play exciting and consistent shot-making on these faster courts..some of the shots you've made over the last 8 months have been amazing, now u just need to play them all together and believe youll make them time and time again. Good luck for Round 1..hope to see u start with a formidable serving and shotmaking performance :)

Hey Champ, it's nice to know that John McEnroe (who always favor Nadal in a GS) picked you to win this year's Wimbledon. That's terrific sign that you're unstoppable this year at the All England Club. Just focus on each match and steamroll the opposition until you lift the golden trophy. You're the best and your game defines tennis "The Gentleman's Game".
