Final against Nadal

18.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Our Champ has made it through to the final in Rome with a 7-6(5),6-4 win over 36 seed Benoit Paire to set the juices flowing with the prospect of another Nadal clash. As against Janowic, Roger was pushed by some excellent play but again showed his class on the important points. Our Champ had to overcome a break of serve half way through the first set and went on to win the tiebreaker. Roger then went in front early in the second set and never looked back.

Now comes the big one against his old rival Nadal – the way they are both playing at the moment promises another Roger - Nadal classic. "It's nice to have these revival moments for both of us," Roger said. "I'm sure we're both looking forward to it. I clearly am."

Mental and Physical good in today's game. Hope you will elevate your mental and physical skill to 95%. Less unforced error. I waived back to you when you were at the photographer's len. Well done and Good Luck. It's time to win a trophy back. We believe that you can do that.

FANCYFREE, it irks me that someone out there always SHAKE A MIKE IN THAT MALLORCAN ORANGUTAN'S FACE 'CUZ HE CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH PROPERLY ANYHOW, like who can really understand his Spanglish, seriously???

It's also bizarre how Roger always get the short end of the draw stick as well...

Oh, well, let's Roger take it to RN & send that ape back to Mallorca where he belongs!!

Newsflash, Robba: RN ALWAYS COMPLAIN OF SOME INJURY WHENEVER HE LOSES BIG OR EARLY 'CUZ HE SIMPLY HATES TO LOSE, i.e. THAT'S HIS MENTAL TOUGHNESS U'RE TALKIN' ABOUT. He doesn't GIFT his opponents. He makes them BEAT him.

deep down, he really HATES our champ for making winning looks so darn easy 'cuz HE HAS TO BEAT UP ON HIS EVERY OPPONENT, see??

RN's NOT a natural player---He's a NATURAL COMPETITOR!

Our champ's a natural player, that's why he's wonderful to watch...

Can anyone please tell me why BBC Sport online never features Roger's matches. I have been appalled by this week's coverage especially. At the moment it mentions the final and gives Rafa paragraphs and Roger two lines. It really "ps" me off.

about my bday: I JUST ASK THAT ROGER WINS HERE, WINS FO, WINS WIMBLY, WINS USO, WINS WTF-LONDON, get his WN1 baaack, that's it...

is that a tall order of some bizarre wish list or what????

grandioso ROGER!!!!!!!!!!

HEY, ROBBA, HAPPY BDAY 2 U~!! MINE'S COMIN' UP AROUND THE BEND 2 & IT'D BE SO DARN NICE IF RF CAN BEAT UP ON RN, AS WELL AS WINNIN' THE FO, DENYIN' THAT DJOKER FROM THE COMPLETE SLAM, AS HE GETS HIS WN1 BACK ALTOGETHER, LIKE WIN-WIN, RIGHT????

Roger needs to play smart, by attacking, but away from RN & aces whenever possible~!!!
05/19/2013 | 01:12 AM
DJOKER found out how to beat RN: HE ATTACKS RN BY KEEPING HIM ON THE RUN, i.e. AWAY FROM HIS REACH BY NOT HITTING AT HIM, like u often do, Rog...

So, in attacking RN, as u may have gone on to beat him, is to keep the ball away from his attacking zone, i.e. HITTING IT IN STRIDE AWAY FROM HIM, BUT WITHIN THE LINES, of course~!

REMEMBA: HIT & KEEP THE BALL AWAY FROM RN'S STRIKE ZONE & ACE YOUR SERVES, WHENEVER POSSIBLE, A-L-L-E-Z~!!!

@ yookimiliveson haha you're right! Nadal is annoying to watch eventough his mental strenght is very impressive. But I find it quite stange that after seven months he reaches every freaking final.. (7 of 8 clay) Not suggestion drugs but I ask myself how bad his injury realy was. Even after all te though matches he's still fit..

Almost my bday and I 'only' ask for one thing

The titel in ROME, not to much to ask for right?
